Theme: The LORD always keeps his promises, trust him with your life

While God first promises the covenant of grace in Genesis 3:15, he expands on that promise in his covenant with Abraham, promising him an offspring and a land. These promises are fulfilled in two stages: first in the nation Israel (offspring) and Canaan (land) during the old (Mosaic) covenant, and second in the church of Christ (offspring) and the new heavens and new earth (land) during the new covenant. The Abrahamic covenant has a strong continuity with its fulfilment in the new covenant, thus showing us the unity of the one covenant of grace.
